It is difficult to predict bra cup size after a breast reduction. The procedure is designed to remove an adequate amount of tissue to help relieve symptoms of neck, back pain, shoulder grooving, a rash under the breasts, etc. The amount of tissue removed will result in a different cup size in different patients. You should carefully discuss your goals with your surgeon prior to surgery to ensure that your expectations are realistic.

Some patients may not be the best candidate for a tummy tuck. A protuberant, rounded abdominal shape that does not become flatter or become concave when lying down may be suggestive for excess intraabdominal fat. These patients may not respond well to an abdominoplasty. As always, evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon is your best bet.

9 days postoperative, is still very early after a tummy tuck. It is not unusual for the tummy to be quite tight with some difficulty standing completely straight in this time period. It is possible ,however, to have fluid accumulations after surgery causing a firm and distended shape. Your best bet would be close followup with your surgeon for further evaluation.

Smoking, in general, affects wound healing in a negative way. Nicotene may affect the microcirculation to soft tissues and can even lead to tissue loss in some cases. It is usually preferable to try to quit smoking to reduce risk factors prior to proceeding with plastic surgery procedures. After all, many plastic surgery procedures are elective and quiting smoking at least 6 weeks before the surgery may have some benefit on wound healing.
