Yes, in our office we use the SkinPen for microneedling. The SkinPen is the only needling device that is FDA approved for the treatment of acne scarring. There are little negative side effects because it essentially uses your own’s skin ability to naturally heal and renew collagen. We prefer the SkinPen versus dermarolling because of its consistency in creating clean “micro channels”. With dermarolling there is a chance for tearing the skin which creates more downtime and prolonged healing. …
