I regularly use textured Sientra implants and prefer the results to smooth implants as they minimize the risks of capsular contracture, and hold their position much better over the long run. A common fear of many patients after having a tummy tuck is exactly the same concern as yours. Even if a small bulge develops after commonly a forced abrupt move after surgery, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the suture has broken. It seems to me that you have fully considered the problem at hand. I agree that your implants are too large. I agree with down sizing and switching to smaller textured Sientra silicone gel implants, which I like a lot and work well in these situations. I would highly consider the subpectoral dual plane II technique for your next operation to decrease significantly the extent of upper pole implant show and rippling ( I would avoid this position if you’re a competitive body builder….

Lipomas don’t suddenly appear. If this is a lipoma it may have been there but gone unnoticed until now. A painful and rapidly enlarging mass in the thigh area is worrisome. Make sure to see your surgical consult in no later than a few days to form a plan. An MRI or CT scan may also be very helpful to form a plan for biopsy or excision of the masses which will give the final diagnosis by pathological evaluation under a microscope. Best. This is a tough situation but fortunately not common. First of all it is best to wait at least 6 months after the last surgery before you have a revision to allow the scar tissues to somewhat mature.
