I am so sorry this happened to you! Botox will not help relieve the paralysis, although you may have read that it can elevate the eyebrow slightly when injected into certain locations. I would recommend seeing a facial plastic surgeon to discuss your options, which may involve a single surgery to raise the eyebrow and eyelid, or possibly multiple surgeries to attempt reinnervation of that side of your face. I would stay away from injecting your masseter muscles in this case, although the doctor that has seen you in person does have the most valuable opinion. Slimming of the face, especially over the jaw line, risks an atrophied look which may actually age your face. Best of luck – you don’t need any help from us!

There is a little bit of a grey area when answering this question, because in my opinion every patient is different, and needs slightly different amounts of botox. I will typically use somewhere between 40-50 units for an entire forehead, including the frown marks in the middle of the forehead.
