Both general anesthesia and local anesthesia with IV sedation provided facelift patient with good pain control and sedation. Most of my facelift cases are performed under local anesthesia with IV sedation. Patients note that they wake up easier than when they are under general anesthesia. I have the anesthesiologist use general anesthesia if we are concerned about breathing issues or if the patient specifically requests general.

dissecting deeper between this SMAS and the parotid gland. More of the SMAS is mobilized which allows

photographs. Just the same, it's
difficult to give in answer without doing a physical examination. The swelling will go down over time. It may take 2-3 months to see the final
result. I recommend that you work closely
with your surgeon. I wish to the

I understand your concerns. After an otoplasty, the ears should be in the
position placed at the time of surgery even with the swelling. Occasionally ears will become a little more
prominent. This may be a result of the
suture becoming loose or coming through the cartilage through which it was sewn. These ears typically need a revision. I recommend that you followup and discuss
this with your surgeon. I hope that all
works out for you and the end.
