It is normal for the skin that has peeled away to be red and sensitive. This is new, fresh skin and you should treat it very gently with a mild cleanser, hydrocortisone cream and apply a physical sunscreen everyday. It looks like you’re going to have a very nice result but you may want to do another peel in about a month. Good luck!

Micro-needling is a good option for certain types of acne scars. You generally need 4-6 treatments spaced a month apart. Some acne scars are deeper and may require laser or Bellafill. I always recommend that a patient start with micro-needling and get the texture as smooth as possible before the laser or filler.

I prefer the Hydrafacial vs Microdermabrasion. The Hydrafacial gently exfoliates the top layer of skin and we can infuse serums at the same time. Yes-Frax 1540 is a great option for the thin, delicate skin
around the eyes. This area often ages faster than the rest of the face and in
turn should be treated with care. A combination therapy of Frax 1540 and Botox
makes the biggest impact in treating that area without surgery. I also recommend
the Obaji Elastiderm applied twice per day. This is a bi-mineral complex of
cooper and zinc that helps to smooth and tighten skin.

Swelling after any surgery can be frustrating. Especially when you are waiting to see your final outcome. First of all, your swelling should never be more than 1 cup size. I tell my patients that swelling will mostly subside in the first 2 to 3 weeks (70%). Residual swelling can take months to completely go away. I do not recommend being ‘fitted’ for bras until your 2 month follow-up.
