Reunion especially when combined with the VASER can achieve significant skin contraction. Your problem however seems more a contour issue which as other contributors have noted may require additional lipousction or even fat grafting. Facial resurfacing with Reunion is a new technique with remarkable results. It also works very well for skin tightening (shrink wrapping) when used under the skin in multiple areas - abdomen, arms, knees etc. Using it over the skin in those areas will not tighten. The way the procedure tightens th skin has to do with contraction of the underlying element of the skin not just the skin itself. Great question though. Dr C

There are a number of techniques to 'internally list" the breast following implant removal. The breast itself though often recovers in a remarkable way once th implant is removed. Your collapsed nipple is almost certainly a result of scar tissue either directly under the nipple (if that's how the implant was placed) or as a result of the new capsule. Whatever the case there are a few techniques that could significantly help - like fat grafting. Your surgeon may want to wait a few months though to let the scar soften some. Ask them about options. There is a pretty strong body of evidence that free or leaked gel does not cause immune system disorders or diseases. That said, removing a single lymph node should not be that difficult and would be unlikely to cause lymphedema. Please visit with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns.

Plasma - now known as Renuvion - is perhaps the best tool we currently have for skin tightening especially for mild to moderate laxity. You will get some improvement with Profound and other similar therapies but J Plasma seems to lead the pack.

Renuvion (formerly known as J-Plasma) is indeed a new technology. I have been using it for neck rejuvenation for about a year now and am thrilled with the results. It is a surgical procedure even though it is done in the office so do make sure your surgeon is board certified and experienced with this tool. Difference between PrecisionTx and Renuvion J plasma?

I used PrecisionTx for a few years and got a range of results from OK to pretty good. It does work however there is no contest when compared to Renuvion. Renuvion is light years ahead when it comes to skin contraction. I've had the tool for almost a year now and haven't once returned to PrecisionTx. Renuvion is the best "shrink wrapping" tool we have for skin for most parts of the body. I highly recommend it.

The single most important aspect of any elective surgery is to perform it safely. Well controlled asthma is a common condition and does not prohibit one from getting elective procedures like tummy tucks as long as you are well controlled and your anesthesia provider is made aware. If you are on any kind of steroids for your asthma (other than inhalers) make sure your surgeon and anesthesiologist are aware as well. Good luck.

The pictures are very helpful and show what appears to be normal helping for two weeks. The incision line still has significant swelling at two weeks and the stretch marks on the upper part of the incision swell even more than the "regular" skin next to them. As such you get a wavy appearance but this is temporary. It is too early to place any scar strips. Talk to your surgeon about the best time.

Seromas routinely absorb on their own provided they are not too large. How large depends on the area of the body and the type of procedure performed. Sometimes however it is best to have them drained. This is usually an easy office procedure. Please follow up with your surgeon and have them examine you. Good luck.

I've used every form of liposuction technique and tool over the past 25 years and find the VASER to be the most powerful, predictable and safe. Still, no matter how good the tool the surgeon is more important. Please find a board certified plastic surgeon with special VASER training and discuss your goals.

I do not think it is a seroma but you should see your surgeon. At 2 weeks it is very common to have asymmetric swelling. This can be caused by how you sleep, the fit of your post op garment or just the way you are healing. One thing to check is to make sure you have a garment that goes below the knee. If it stops above the knee it may exacerbate this. Good luck.
