Can my sleeping position cause glabellar lines? Will Botox help?
Treating Sleep Lines… Will Botox work?
Jan 18, 2021
Good day! Thank you for your question. Botox and other FDA approved neuromodulators improve the wrinkles that you see when you animate your face, i.e. scowl , raise your brow, squint. Fine lines and wrinkles that you see when your face is in repose can be mildly improved by injecting Botox; however, often the best treatment for lines like “sleep lines” are skin resurfacing procedures, such as CO2 laser and radiofrequency microneedling. At my practice we use the top rated, per a survey on…
Can you breastfeed after receiving Botox?
Botox and Breastfeeding
Jan 18, 2021
Good day! Thank you for your question. There are no scientific studies that have been conducted to verify the safety of Botox on breastfeeding mothers and their babies. While Botox and other FDA approved neurotoxins work locally and not systemically, it is highly recommended that you wait until you are finished breastfeeding before receiving treatment given the lack of research. If you have received Botox prior to getting pregnant and are planning to breastfeed, there should be no cause for…

Sep 4, 2017
Good Day. Thank you for your question.Simple answer: no need for an injection. The goal would be to avoid needle injections. The transcutaneous absorption of the Botox/Dysport is the main concern for obtaining consistency. The future is closer than you think.

Botox/Dysport During Pregnancy: Is my baby safe?
Sep 4, 2017
Good Day. Thank you for your question and concerns. The risk of neurmodulators (Botox/Dysport) injected into facial muscles is extremely safe. The vast majority of the medication states in the facial muscle with a minuscule amount entering the blood stream. The risk to a fetus is negligible.Due to liability concerns, researchers including manufacturers do not perform clinical studies in pregnant and lactating women. The amount of data is low. However, Botox/Dysport is the most common cos…
