Why should someone with an autoimmune or muscle disorder not get Botox or Dysport in the for
Botox relative contraindications
Jan 4, 2020
Usage of Botulinum Toxins for aesthetic treatment in patients with autoimmune or genetic muscular disorders is not contraindicated for it is the “dose that makes a poison” . The problem is rather with relatively unpredictable results and sometimes undesirable outcomes. But once again a prudent and cautious usage may be beneficial. Hope this helped, Dr. Daniyar
I have protruding teeth, what are my options?
Protruding teeth
Jan 4, 2020
Based on photos you submitted it appears that your best option is to have orthodontic treatment which may either be carried out by conventional braces or Invisalign appliances assisted teeth re-positioning. See an experienced orthodontist to determine which option is best as well as whether you may or may not have to have some teeth removed to create room for inward movement
My dentist recommended that I remove my bridge and have bone draft. Is it normal to put in a
Bone graft after extracting a tooth
Dec 7, 2019
If possible I always put bone graft into sockets where teeth are removed from. This helps to prevent bone reduction and gum recession and also allows me to place an implant or implants later if a patient so desires based on my recommendation. So go with it. Good luck, Dr. Daniyar
Can a wisdom tooth shift your teeth and essentially replace a missing tooth?
Wisdom teeth pushing other teeth
Dec 7, 2019
I would say “no” because even if such shifting does occur it will be incomplete and far from desirable alignment. The odds are better when second molars are extracted and then wisdom teeth are erupting in their stead, bt even then it remains grossly unpredictable process. So better not to lose your molar(s). Good luck, Dr. Daniyar
Is it safe to have wisdom teeth surgery while on Accutane?
Wisdom Teeth and Accutane
Dec 7, 2019
You should be fine getting your wisdom teeth out while on Accutane. This derivative of vitamin A affects primarily skin tissue and especially sebacious glands, which in turn are the essential part of skin healing process. That’s why any procedure involving skin injury is possibly postponed while Accutane is being “cleared off” one’s system. To the contrary, wisdom teeth extraction involves jaw bone and gum tissues that regenerate well even when Accutane is taken internally. But if have…
What can be done to resolve a sagging chin after Kybella?
Sagging neck skin
Dec 3, 2018
Kybella is a great tool / agent that addresses fat deposits and to some degree it provides skin tightening, but very little. In cases like yours I either repeat Kybella several times to reduce fat and then proceed with further neck / jaw line modification using skin tightening devices such as ThermiTight or Inmode Invasix Facetite. As an added security and to further enhance the outcome we also place supporting threads that allow guided response. There are surely some surgical yet more…
Can permanent crowns cause migraines?
New crown and headaches
Oct 4, 2018
The pain you are describing MAY be related to the newly placed restoration IF it’s not conforming to the biological principles of proper anatomy and interaction with other (opposing) teeth and surrounding soft tissue. Seeing your dentist to address this possible problem seems like a good course of action. If you continue having those headaches I may suggest removal of the crown as an ultimate rule out test, but that’s a bit drastic and should be decided by your dentist and you. Good…
