29 years old: when is the best time to a get hair transplant?
Best time to get a Hair Transplant
Sep 1, 2022
I believe the best time to get a hair transplant is when it is affecting your every day confidence. If you have more than your frontal area that is that has extensive hair loss then this would be a good time to start with your frontal hairline. I would also still recommend that you try preventative hair loss therapy such as a laser hair helmet or a derma roller. I would also recommend using minoxidil for both your vertex and your crown area. We here at natural transplants for this reason…
How delicate are grafts the first night?
First night care
Sep 1, 2022
The first night after a procedure is probably the most important night regarding your hair transplant. I always say the first 24 hours is your most important time to be as relaxed and do a little activity as possible. Keeping your head open to air and not having any bandages or coverings over your head will help out with the outcome. Here at Natural Transplants, we recommend our patients sleep at a 45 to 60° angle with no covering over there grafted area. And usually by morning time the …
How’s my donor area? How many lifetime grafts could I possibly get?
The importance of donor tissue.
Sep 1, 2022
Thank you so much for sharing the picture with us, I believe your donor tissue looks amazing as we are always looking to see approximately 120 to 160 hair follicles per square centimeter. Based upon the picture it appears that you do have this. When doing a hair transplant it is so important to have a good donor sight. Your physician is only as good as the donor tissue that he is able to obtain. The more hair follicles that a physician can obtain from your donor tissue the better results…
Am I a viable candidate for hair transplant, and for which type? I’m 23, soon 24 year old male (photo
Not ready for a hair transplant.
Sep 1, 2022
I’m very glad that you asked are you a good candidate for a hair transplant before you just go running in to get one. I believe that you should definitely try the laser hair helmet and you should also be on the vitamin BIOTIN. And continue with the minoxidil. You could also try a derma roller. At this point you still have more than 50% density on top of your head and if a surgeon tries to put hair follicles in between your natural hair follicles he’ll probably damage as many hair fol…
Age 44 – would 500 grafts make a big difference with my bald spot?
How many graphs needed for a 8 cm x 8 cm area in the crown.
Sep 1, 2022
It is so important to understand that when you are putting hair into a crown that the crown has a natural spiral area to it. In your case the area of concern measures approximately 8 cm x 8 cm. If your doctor is only using graphs that have one or two hair follicles in it then I do not believe 500 graphs will be sufficient. When you do a hair transplant through the FUT approach you are able to control how many hair follicles are in each graft. I would rather see graphs in your crown that have…
Age 18, black male, can I do a hair transplant because of my age?
18 year old looking for advise on a hair transplant.
Sep 1, 2022
At least twice a week I have an 18-year-old call my office regarding a hair transplant. I believe an 18-year-old should consider preventative hair loss therapy before considering a hair transplant. Obviously if you are a Norwood four or worse at the age of 18 or 20 years old, then yes if it’s affecting your every day confidence, I would recommend proceeding with a hair transplant. There are many treatments out there that you can take or try to prevent hair loss before you decide on moving f…
Will I return to baseline if I stop taking Finasteride and am currently below baseline?
Finasteride side effects.
Sep 1, 2022
Based upon your description of your side effects to finasteride, I believe your risks outweigh the benefits of finasteride. Thus I do recommend weaning yourself off of the finasteride as soon as possible. I would also recommend that you consider starting the vitamin biotin, a laser hair helmet, and look into a derma roller. As for whether or not your hair will return to baseline only time will tell. But it is to your best interest to get off of finasteride in a timely manner.
