Liposuction is often combined with tummy tuck to achieve the desired result. The maximum amount that most agree can be safely liposuctioned at one time is 5,000 cc. Your surgeon will probably not even come close to removing this volume of fat but that is the upper limit most might remove. I am so glad he is not using drains with your procedure! I was taught we had to use drains during my training 40 years ago and used them on all tummy tucks until about 10 years ago...
