Capsular contracture?
Hard to tell from the photos.
Jun 7, 2017
Your implants are too high on your chest for the implants you have.  The left is obviously positioned even higher than the right.  It  appears that if the implants drop to the level of the incisions, that they may be positioned correctly.  At 8 weeks PO it is difficult to determine if these are “acute” or immediate capsular contracture, which can occur very rarely, or just improper positioning of the implants, which is much more common at 8 weeks PO.  I would suggested that you continue to v…
Tuberous breasts and breast feeding. Could corrective surgery help?
That is a lot of good questions!
Jun 7, 2017
There are many ways to correct tuberous beast deformity and nipple deformities. Most of the time, these techniques are not used to correct deformity to aid in difficulty with nursing.  Having said that, if you are interested in correcting the shape of your breast and nipples because of cosmetic concerns and other reasons, improved ability to nurse your baby might be an added benefit.  Overall, you would need a consultation with a Plastic Surgeon to examine you to understand exactly what th…
Would I need a lift with my augmentation? I’m currently a deflated A cup and would like to be a firm
I don’t think you need a lift.
Apr 6, 2017
Your breasts have a “deflated” look that is very common after pregnancy and breast feeding.  Your nipples are still pointing forward and have not fallen below the fold of your breast.  I believe an implant alone would fill out the extra skin and give you a lift at the same time.  To determine the best size and shape of the implant to be used, I would suggest a consultation with a plastic surgeon.  They will examine you and talk to you to understand your desired look. Together, you will dec…
I was just wondering if this is looking okay for 8 days post op?
Looks normal
Apr 6, 2017
For 8 days post-op, you have a normal appearance.  There is some bruising and swelling and the tapes are covering some of the incision, but overall, there is nothing that looks out of the ordinary.  I believe the augmentation will help to fill out the skin envelope in a few months and help you achieve the look that you want.  Hope you recover quickly from your breast lift!
How can I get my left breast implant to drop quicker?
Hard to tell
Apr 6, 2017
I agree that the right implant is slightly lower than the left one.  It may be a little distorted in the photograph you have given us.  Your implants look like they are relatively symmetrically placed on your chest, while the left nipple is rotated laterally.  Overall, I am not sure if the left implant really needs to “drop”, or if the space for the implant is a little tight on the lower, outside part of her left beast.  I also don’t know how long it has been since you have had surgery.  If …
I have 350cc UHP silicone under the muscle implants. Do my implants fall to the side too much? (phot
I don’t think so
Apr 6, 2017
Your implants have some movement in the pocket but look like they are properly positioned.  The Nipple is centered over the most projecting part of your breast and you have proper spacing of the implants with a good amount of cleavage in the upright position.   They do fall to the sides slightly when you are laying down.  This just makes them look a little more natural.  Enjoy your new look!
I had my breast Aug on Jan 25, 2017, when will I see my actual results and will my breast look bigge
Give it some more time
Apr 3, 2017
You are now a little more than two months out from your operation. Especially after a revision breast augmentation there may still be some swelling and settling going on.  Usually, I tell my patient to wait at least 3 month before they evaluate the results too closely.  However, I would not think that your breast would look “bigger” the longer you wait, usually they will get a little smaller looking as the implants settle and the swelling goes away.  If you have concerns, you should bri…
34A wanting to be a 34D. Is this too big for being 5’11”?
You need to be seen and examined
Apr 3, 2017
There are many different factors that are involved in making this decision that have already been well expressed by the other plastic surgeons who have commented.  Your desired size and the measurements of your current breast base diameter and tissue characteristics are the most important.  There are many ways to help you visualize what the outcome will look like from 3D imaging to stuffing your bra.  In the end, this should be a decision made between you and your plastic surgeon, it is ve…
Can silicone implants be done at the same time as a mastopexy safely?
yes
Apr 3, 2017
This can be a complicated procedure as the other physicians have expressed.  If you already have a 36D+ breast and are considering an implant, you have to ask the question, “how much larger do I want my breast to be?”  If the answer is “not that much larger,” you may be talking about having a breast reduction at the same time you are asking for a breast augmentation with an implant.  This is something I have done in the past, and it can be done safely together.  The concept is that the brea…
I’m 35, 144lb and size 36A – Is it okay to get 450cc?
Maybe
Mar 30, 2017
There are many factors that determine which size implant is best for you.  Obviously, a very important factor is what size you desire.  I agree that sizers are a good place to start.  They will help you decide on the volume of the implant you desire.  After that, an evaluation by a Plastic Surgeon is very important.  They will determine how thick the tissue is, how elastic the tissue is, how wide your breasts are,  and how much droop there is in your breasts.  These issues, along with your…
Can I get silicone breast implants without having a breast lift?
Probably
Feb 17, 2017
There are many important issues that need  to be considered.  Nipple position, soft tissue characteristics, and choice of implant size are all important factors used to determine if skin needs to be removed to give you the best shape. In general, physical exam is required to give you a precise answer as to whether or not you need a breast lift as well as an implant. Just looking at your photos, my guess is that it would give you a better result.  Find a good plastic surgeon and have a consul…
Can breast implants be damaged by force/sound?
Not likely
Feb 17, 2017
As noted above, the implants are very tough.  I have personally removed two that were dislodged out of their normal “pocket” and onto the patient’shoulder after a car accident. Both were completely intact. I wouldn’t worry about this issue.
I am 3 weeks post op. Is it normal after a breast augmentation for an old nipple piercing to irritat
No
Dec 8, 2016
This is not normal after a breast augmentation and any pus that could be associated with the implant could be highly problematic.  You should contact your plastic surgeon asap and get their guidance.
Which size suits my frame the best?
The answer is complicated
Dec 8, 2016
There is only a 75 cc difference between the 3 implant sizes you have chosen.  If the soft tissues of your breast and skin and muscle can accommodate one of those implants then it is likely it can accommodate any of them.  Only a consultation with a PS will allow you to find out if these are “reasonable sizes.”  You are doing the right thing by trying on clothes over the implants to decide which ones make you feel most comfortable. This will give you a place to start when you visit with a p…
I’m just over 3 months post op and I think my skin on my left breast is sagging over the implant? (p
Uncertain
Dec 8, 2016
Most of the time, the way breast implants look at 3 months after augmentation is a fairly good indicator of what they will look like long term.  Most of the edema is gone and the tissues have had a reasonable amount of time to stretch out and accommodate the implant.  I think your photos look fairly symmetrical.  It is difficult for me to see the “sagging skin,” you describe.  Your breasts do look very full.  Perhaps it is just a question of not getting the shape you expected.  I would think…
