The are several different types of fillers on the market so I would recommend discussing them with an experienced an injector so as to choose the one that best fits your needs. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Upper eyelid asymmetry is extremely common, and yours falls well within the spectrum of normal. However, if you wanted to gain more symmetry, I would recommend consultation with an experienced surgeon regarding an upper blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift). I know of no non-surgical treatments that will give you the predictability of a surgical result in the upper eyelid. Hope this helps!

As with any patient, immediately following filler injections, the area where the filler was placed will swell somewhat but generally goes down over the next several days. First off, thank you for sharing your pictures and question. From looking at your photo, I agree with your plastic surgeon that you have dysfunction of your buccal nerve. Though this is rare, nerve injuries are a known complication of facelifts. The good news is that the majority of buccal nerve injuries partially, if not completely, resolve. This can take up to 6 months. In the interim months, you should hopefully see signs of improvement.
