The brown discoloration is called staining and may take 18 months to resolve. This can occur following sclerotherapy. Avoid sun tanning or burning over these areas and you may want to try Dermaka topically. Improvement with staining has been reported using this product. Most staining will improve over time.

I treat these temporal veins with sclerotherapy with very excellent results. Sclerotherapy in my hands works much better than topical laser.

The posted pictures look like spider veins and sclerotherapy would be the treatment of choice. If the veins are too small to accommodate a 33 gauge needle then topical laser could be tried but laser does not always work well on leg spider veins.
