The MonaLisa Touch treatment for lichen sclerosus is 5 treatments, 6 weeks apart. The company has done studies on this, and it has been shown that lichen sclerosus responds to 5 far better than less than 5. I recommend you see a gynecologist who performs labiaplasty and who is familiar with fistulas for an exam and evaluation. These are likely two separate problems, but a thorough and proper exam will help show the diagnosis. It may be suture or scars or other processes. There are ways to diagnose fistulas based on what the exam findings are and your symptoms. A thorough gynecologist will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the proper treatment.

Discomfort is common, but what you describe is more than average. Continue what your gynecologist recommended. If I were told this, I would want the person to come in so I can examine and make sure there are no abnormalities in healing. You are right, usually people are fully functional the next day, but we do have those rare women who have unusual pains. Get checked out if you have concerns.
