Can I do Botox after tip rhinoplasty a few years ago?
Know your goals
Jan 10, 2023
Thank you for your question. It is true that a nose that has been operated on (known as the “surgical nose”) is at much higher risk from complications from filler. This is because the anatomy has changed. The nose is already a high risk injection site. I do not recommend filler in a virgin nose let alone a surgical nose. The best plastic surgeons I know won’t inject filler into a nose because they have seen all the horrific complications….it’s just not worth it!

How many units of Botox will this need?
Combination therapy will be best
Feb 14, 2021
You have very strong muscle activity that will need between 20-40 units of Botox. I recommend starting at the lower end if you have never been treated before. You can always add more. You have lines at rest which is from loss of collagen and elastin. The safest way to treat this is with smooth threads. There is risk of blindness with filler in this area.
is is safe to use Plasma Pen while pregnant?
Aesthetic treatments not indicated during pregnancy
Feb 4, 2021
Plasma Pen, as with all aesthetic treatments, are contraindicated during pregnancy. There are no studies to indicate the safety to the growing fetus and therefore any responsible provider will not perform procedures on a pregnant patient.
I don't want to dissolve my filler, are there options to help with filler edema/water retention?
HA attracts water so anything that causes inflammation can theoretically make these areas swell
Jan 22, 2021
Thanks for your question! This is a very interesting and thoughtful question! It is true that most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid which does attract water. Therefore if you are prone to water retention, you may notice swelling in areas that have been treated. Avoiding a diet high in processed foods is a great place to start (always high in salt) and is what I would definitely recommend. Your doctor can prescribe a low dose diuretic if appropriate. You may or may not notice any benefit...
Dr Dennis Gross LED light mask & Nuface micro current device OK after Sculptra injections?
Home treatment after Sculptra
Dec 31, 2020
Thank you for your question. Any home treatments should wait at least 5-7 days or until any swelling and bruising from your initial procedure have resolved. As far as LED treatment after Sculptra, this is safe. The Nuface is a device that exercises facial muscles and does not interfere with Sculptra. Good luck in reaching your cosmetic goals!

Is this prejowl sulcus? What is the best way to remove this?
Multiple areas to treat
Dec 31, 2020
Thank you for your question. In your picture there appears to be to main areas that may be bothering you. The area of shadow below your smile is the “marionette line.” This can be treated with hyaluronic acid fillers as a first line treatment. The area of depression above and lateral to your lip is the “nasal labial fold.” This can also be treated first line with hyaluronic acid fillers however be careful that this area is not overfilled as it will give you a heavy appearance. There are oth...
