Fat transfer to the breast typically does not result in significant scarring unless being performed with other breast procedures. The fat transfer procedure involves harvesting of fat via small cannulas millimeters in size, processing of the fat via each surgeons preferred protocols, and injection of the fat in the desired areas to achieve the goal of enhanced volume.
