"Our passion and expertise is in all aspects of rhinoplasty, our before and after Rhinoplasty photo gallery is one of the largest in the Northeast Corridor, and we have an unsurpassed number of positive patient reviews," says Dr. Joseph.

Dr. Joseph has treated more than 20,000 patients, addressing functional and cosmetic issues with the latest surgical and nonsurgical approaches. “It’s a privilege to treat every patient, and my goal is to ensure that their satisfaction is as high as I can possibly make it,” Dr. Joseph says.

While his primary areas of expertise include rhinoplasty (both surgical and nonsurgical) and lip augmentation, he also frequently performs chin implant surgery, chin / neck liposuction, and eyelid surgery. We offer expert microdroplet Silikon-1000 treatments for permanent non-surgical nose job treatments, permanent lip augmentation, permanent chin augmentation, permanent wrinkle and acne scar reduction, and permanent facial volume replacement.

Dr. Joseph obtained his MD at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. Board-certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery, he is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).

RealSelf Q&A with Dr. Joseph

RS: What sets your practice apart?
EJ: Expertise. I’m highly specialized in all types of rhinoplasty procedures—primary, teen, revision, functional, and ethnic rhinoplasty surgery, as well as permanent nonsurgical rhinoplasty.

With rhinoplasty surgery, your surgeon’s experience is critical for achieving a favorable result. Rhinoplasty may be one of the most challenging plastic surgeries, and it’s best to get it right the first time.

Another point of differentiation is my expertise with the off-label use of the permanent filler Silikon 1000. It’s the only filler I use. Anything you can do with regular filler, you can do safely and effectively with Silikon 1000.

RS: What inspired you to become a surgeon?
EJ: Both of my parents are doctors, so it’s in my DNA. But the day I walked into the operating room, I was mesmerized. I knew part of my work as a physician was going to be in the OR.

RS: How did you decide to specialize in rhinoplasty?
EJ: I did a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with a world-renowned rhinoplasty specialist. We did over 150 rhinoplasties together, and I caught the bug. I love rhinoplasty, and I’ve figured out a technique that works. As a result, I have more than the average surgeon’s number of positive reviews.
I also have one of the largest before-and-after galleries of rhinoplasty surgery on the Northeast corridor. I pride myself on posting every view of every patient—not just the best one.

RS: What’s your practice like?
EJ: We’re a four-person shop, and our goal is to treat you like a member of our family. When patients come to my office, it’s a very intimate experience. The first and only medical professional they see is me.

RS: How would you describe your approach to plastic surgery?
EJ: Cautious. I’m a conservative surgeon who favors a nonsurgical approach whenever possible, reserving surgery as a last resort. For each of the 100-plus surgical rhinoplasties I perform in a year, I do three times as many nonsurgical rhinoplasties.

Answer Snippet
Is there a reason why one cannot only put 1mls syringe of saline into 100 units of botox?
Reconstitution of Botox with 1 cc would lead to waste.
Nov 10, 2023
Every time a syringe is filled with botox, there is dead space in between the plunger of the syringe and the tip of the needle. If the reconstitution of 100 units is only with one cc, there would be many units lost in the dead space of the syringe. Additionally, I feel there would be a less accurate and precise treatment. I hope this answers your question! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Can anything be done about inner corner eye hollows non-surgically?
Have you been evaluated for ptosis?
Oct 31, 2023
Based on your singular photo, you appear to have a slightly droopy Upper eyelid margin. This happens, it can lead to hollowing of the upper eyelid. Toast is repair involves elevation of the eyelid margin by several millimeters for Increased visibility of the iris of your eye and decreased visibility of the eyelid shelf. Please consider Consulting with an ophthalmologist or an oculoplastic surgeon. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
What are my options for minimizing the appearance of vertical lines when smiling?
Nasolabial wrinkles are typically corrected with fillers.
Oct 18, 2023
When we evaluate patients for injectable fillers, we do not do it while they are smiling. Injectable fillers are meant for wrinkles that remain when you are not smiling. In all likelihood, you are seeing these wrinkles more now than previously due to a loss of facial volume. Neurotoxins like botox are not applicable for this use. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Would nonsurgical nose job help with nose widening when I smile? It also looks very flat in pictures
Injectable fillers may not lead to a narrower nasal appearance.
Oct 3, 2023
Everyone's nose gets wider when we smile because the bottom of our nose is attached to our cheeks. In my opinion, adding fillers to the lower one third of your nose may lead to a wider appearance. I hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Nose tip droops when smiling after accident, is there anyway to prevent it?
If you have severe dissatisfaction with your nasal appearance, visit a reputable rhinoplasty specialist.
Sep 19, 2023
In my opinion, there is not a predictable non-surgical approach to lift the nasal tip. You appear to have a pleasing nasal appearance, however, if the droopiness of your nasal tip after your trauma 8 years ago is bothering you, Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for repairing this. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph
