“We have perfected the way we harvest and process the patient’s own fat to use as a volumizing and regenerative agent to rejuvenate the face, breast, buttocks, and male and female genitalia,” says Dr. Song.
Regenerative medicine is the cornerstone of Dr. Song’s practice. “We incorporate PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and stem cell-inducing technology into almost everything we do,” he explains.
Dr. Song believes that listening to patients’ unique needs and concerns is pivotal to achieving the best possible results—which is why he will never use a one-size-fits-all approach. His rule of thumb is to never offer any treatment that he would not have performed on himself or a loved one.
“We encourage all of our staff to have any treatment that we offer, so they can speak from personal experience when talking to potential patients,” he explains. “We stand behind everything we do, but we are never pushy. We know that when we take the time to educate our patients about how and why we do what we do, they trust us to take care of them like we would our own family, because we do consider them to be like family.”
After graduating from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, Dr. Song went on to earn his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School, completing his internship and residency training at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He practiced internal medicine for 15 years before going into aesthetics, a decision he made after seeing a colleague perform a laser treatment to remove disfiguring pigmentation from a patient’s face.
“I saw the results a few weeks later and was blown away by the difference,” says Dr. Song. “It was at that moment that I realized that aesthetics was not just about vanity. It was about changing people’s lives.”
On making the switch from internal medicine to aesthetics, Dr. Song recalls that art has always been one of his passions. “I knew that with my artistic skills, I would excel at improving people’s appearance,” says Dr. Song. He now uses his artist’s eye, skills, and medical knowledge to enhance his patients’ beauty. “Very small changes in someone’s appearance can make such a huge difference in their self confidence and attitude,” he says.
Dr. Song is an expert in energy-based and regenerative cosmetic treatments. He has been featured on Good Morning America as an authority on Ultherapy, and he frequently speaks at national and international conferences about stem cell treatments, PRP, and advanced laser techniques. Dr. Song is also a faculty trainer for the Advanced Aesthetic Education Group and the AMerican Academy of Stem Cell Physicians.
