I’m in a Healthy Weight Range After Massive Weight Loss. Now What?
Massive Weight Loss Surgery
Jul 8, 2013
Yes, you appear to be a good candidate for a body contouring following massive weight loss. No, a lower body lift usually does not help with the medial thigh area. Consider writing down which area of the body bothers you the most from #1 to #3. Next make sure you are in good health for surgery with a consult to your primary care practitioner for an EKG and some metabolic lab testing. Because, malnutrition following a GBP can be an issue with surgery. Then, take this data with your…
Bra Line Back Lift?
Back Lift
Jul 8, 2013
Yes, you appear to be a good candidate for a Back Lift. As long as your weight is stable, your cardio-pulmonary status is good and you understand that additional procedures may be required to remove all the roles of your back (i.e. Liposuction) then, you should do well. Consider a consult with a local member of the ASAPS. They are experts in body contouring procedures. Best,

Would Like to Know if Erbium Yag Laser Resurfacing Can Result in Loss of Facial Volume?
Facial Volume Loss
Apr 3, 2013
As we age there is usually a natural loss in facial volume or fat. This why the current state of the Art Facial Rejuvenation procedures involve Filling the Face usually with Fat Grafting. If you are concerned about possible facial volume loss over time you might want to consider fat grafting to the face at the time of your laser resurfacing. Best,

Surgeon Completely Forgot to Lipo. Should I Be Expected to Pay Again?
Oversight??
Apr 1, 2013
Sorry to here you did not get what you thought you were paying for with your revisional surgery. Check your agreement to make sure it is writing and then point it out to your surgeon/ contractor. Request how they plan to correct the alleged oversight. If you are not satisfied consider filling a complaint about your surgeon with your states physician licensing agency. This is usually the states Medical Board. Best,

Will This Spitting of Stitches Ever End?
Ethibond
Mar 27, 2013
I do not have good news. Ethibond stich abcesses can be local or course all the way along your suture line. Make sure you are getting cultured with the drainage of these stich abscess.

Most Plastic Surgeons have moved away from Ethibond sutures decades ago due to the risks associated with this suture. Many now use exoensive/ disslovable sutures like PDS. Please address your concerns to your orginal surgeon. I hope this eventually goes away. Best,

Secondary Surgery on Unilateral Congential Ptosis

Is a Brow Lift Suitable for a Person with Connective Tissue Disorder?
CTD
Mar 22, 2013
There are many different types of Connective Tissue Disorders (CTD). May I suggest you start with the practitioner that is treating you for the CTD. Ask if would be safe for you to have surgery and what precautions would be required. Request they put your visit in writing like a pre-operative clearance. Then, if your doctor says it is OK seek evaluation/ examination by a member of the ASAPS in your area. Best,
