Generally speaking, I recommend Biocorneum Scar Gel to my post-operative patients. It is a silicone based scar gel that also contains SPF. Apply twice daily, massaging it into the scars for 10-15 minutes, to help break down the scar tissue.

At your pre-op appointment your surgeon should review your full medical history and current medications, and then discuss any changes that you may need to make prior to surgery. Be sure to inform them of any herbal supplements and/or over the counter medications you take as well.

Will waiting 13 weeks instead of 11 weeks for Botox make a significant difference?

Hello! Botox treatment is typically recommended every 3-4 months, however everyone metabolizes neurotoxins at different rates which means that the time in between treatments can vary greatly. Two weeks should not make a significant difference in your overall appearance, especially if you don't notice it wearing off around that 11 week mark. Having a well trained, trusted injector is very important so I am glad to hear you found one!

You should definitely check back with your Board Certified plastic surgeon for an in-person evaluation. This could be something as simple as over-exertion leading to soreness that will be self-limiting or implant rupture even though your implants are not old. However, anytime you notice a change such as this, it’s best not to ignore it. Hello and thank you for your question and pictures. It looks like you would benefit from the use of dermal filler under the eyes to improve the skin tone and decrease the appearance of bags. These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the body. They dissolve over time and must be re-injected about once a year or so. I don't think, from your photos, that you need a blepharoplasty at this time. Hope this information is helpful!

Hello, Knowing that you have saline implants, a leak would probably be more noticeable to you due to a change in volume than actual discomfort. The saline would be absorbed into your body and since we have saline naturally occurring in our bodies, it should not cause discomfort. I commonly combine breast surgery (lift/augmentation/reduction) with BBL, and for my practice the patients who can have this done are carefully selected based on their body habitus etc. It’s not for everyone, but just be certain to select a board certified plastic surgeon who does a lot of both procedures to consult with.
