Submuscular breast implants do require partially cutting the pectoralos major muscle which in effect may cause some weakness of the muscle. This should not affect normal daily activities but with heavier chest wall exercises, you might experience paradoxical lateral displacement of the implant. Thank you for your question and pictures. We typically recommend wearing compression garments after mommy makeover 24-7 for the first 6 weeks, then either at night or during the day for up to the next 8 weeks. The majority of swelling due to the procedure goes down within 4-6 months.

Thank you for your question and picture. Losing weight can cause changes to your face. Botox injections in the masseter muscles wouldn’t affect the appearance around your nose or under eyes. Although you are young, you may be a candidate for filler to help with the volume loss to tear troughs and/or nasal labial folds.

Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear about your previous experience. After fat transfer, we typically recommend waiting 3 months before going back to full, intense workouts. Also, when a person works out, the energy for working out is obtained by using up areas of fat storage. Unfortunately, we have no control over which fat storages are utilized. Therefore, there is a possibility that you may lose some of the fat that is transferred from working out.

We typically recommend wearing compression garments after laser-assisted liposuction 24-7 for the first 6 weeks, then either at night or during the day for the next 8 weeks. Typically, Smart Lipo patients are mostly comfortable and back to normal activities after 7-14 days. If you develop any other signs or symptoms of infection, such as redness, increased swelling, fevers or chills, I would contact your surgeon.
Can sitting for long periods of time after a BBL cause problems?

Thank you for your question. In a Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, not all of the fat transferred survives, part of it dies in the process. It is hard to estimate how much because it can vary. Fat also weighs very little, so you may not notice a difference in your weight.

Thank you for your question and picture. Liposuction is done to help achieve fat reduction. Unfortunately, liposuction will not help with tightening of loose skin. Liposuction can be done to your area of concern; however, you may benefit better from a tummy tuck, where fat reduction, skin tightening and muscle tightening can all be addressed.

Without seeing you in person it is difficult to say with more certainty, however, it appears as though there is subcutaneous fat as well as hanging skin involvement. Smartlipo (laser assisted liposuction) has the capability for fat reduction as well as mild skin tightening. Typically, if there is hanging skin a tummy tuck is recommended where fat reduction as well as hanging skin can be addressed.

Thank you for your question. Most swelling after liposuction occurs in the first 1-2 weeks. Increased swelling can also be attributed to increased activity, insufficient aggressive compression and/or constipation. Our practice recommends aggressive compression with lipofoam, as well as deep tissue massage as early as 3 weeks post-operatively.
