Breast reduction surgery in Bay Area is a procedure for women who, because of large breasts feel back pain and shoulder girdle, faced with limitations of physical activity, psychological and emotional discomfort.

The purpose of this procedure is to remove excess fatty or glandular tissue and skin, and change the shape of the breast so that it fits better with the proportions of the body.

Like every intervention, breast reduction can have an undesirable effect: it is a reaction to anesthesia, temporary swelling, discomfort, a decrease or loss of nipple sensitivity (if the nipple is transplanted as a free graft, it always remains without innervation).

Less frequent bleeding, infection of the wound, hypertrophy of the scars. Other possible complications and adverse reactions should be discussed with a plastic surgeon during the consultation.

Postoperative period

After the procedure, the patient may be advised several weeks to wear a special bra. Usually, patients return to work after 10-14 days, physical exertion should be avoided for at least several weeks. The final cosmetic result will be visible not earlier than in a few months.
