Nose Op Finesse For Slight Tip And Bridge Adjustments After Trauma Picture By Dr. Hickman, Long Beach, California (90807)
Patient with trauma to nasal bridge and crack at junction of nasal bones with cartilage. Underwent subtle bridge sadding, osteotomies to narrow bones, and fine tuning of nasal profile tip angle with cartilage grafts. Classic internal approach using septal cartilage and no external scars required. Small discrepancies of bridge were noted in late followup where cartilage crushed grafts were placed above original hump to create a more elevated natural flow of the bridge off the forehead. Additional minor refinements could be done. (Jan 1, 1970)
